Kick off your summer at Sounds of Summer, happening every Saturday at Manifesto Market, where live music, craft drinks, and festival vibes take over. Each week features a fresh lineup of new artists, established musicians, and DJs, plus the occasional secret guest—so stay tuned for surprises!

The opening event on June 14, 2025, brought a full day of performances, street food, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

Started with Bottomless Brunch from 11 AM to 2 PM, featuring unlimited drinks like Mimosas and Bloody Marys from SOOT bar. Then, live performances throughout the day.

 

Meet the Artists

MARI.JE

MARI.JE is a rising Czech singer-songwriter known for her soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Her music blends acoustic melodies with modern influences, creating an intimate yet powerful sound. She has collaborated with notable Czech producers and musicians, and her single A MY showcases her unique artistry.

 

Karol Komenda

Slovak-born Karol Komenda is a talented guitarist and singer who gained recognition as a finalist in Česko-Slovenská SuperStar. He later moved to Prague to study music and formed the Karol Komenda Group, releasing his debut EP. His style is deeply influenced by classic rock and blues, and he is currently the guitarist for Czech pop star Ben Cristovao.

DJ FUUSE

DJ FUUSE is a dynamic Czech DJ known for his high-energy sets and seamless mixing. He is part of Ben Cristovao’s crew, frequently performing as his opening act. His sets blend electronic, hip-hop, and summer-inspired beats, making him a perfect fit for the Sounds of Summer series.

Majority of the Sounds of Summer events are curated by Championship Music, a production company closely associated with Ben Cristovao, Jan Bendig and Eva Burešová. Championship Music has been instrumental in shaping Prague’s music scene, working with top artists and organizing major events.

On Saturday, June 21st, Sounds of Summer at Manifesto brings the heat with live performances by Emily Brandi, DJ Potkis, and DJ Strain. Whether you're into soulful vocals, infectious beats, or high-energy house grooves, these artists are set to deliver.

Here’s a closer look at each performer:

FOURTUNA

FOURTUNA aka Emily Brandi is a Prague-based singer-songwriter who made her debut with the self-released EP Who Cares About The World in 2021. Since then, she has been steadily making waves in the local music scene, performing at well-known venues and festivals including MeetFactory, Bike Jesus, and Cool v Plote. Her track "Champ" was recently featured in the Czech TV series Dcera Národa, marking a major milestone in her growing career. In addition to her solo work, Emily is the lead vocalist of Ponyhenge, a band project that began gaining momentum in mid-2024.

Potkis

A DJ born out of a love of dance and club culture. He approaches music eclectically — exploring it in depth, from roots to contemporary influences. In his sets, he combines house, garage, Detroit techno, broken beat with elements of Latin and Afro sound. His sets are a wavy path full of layers, which despite their diversity lead to a clear goal.

DJ Strain

DJ Strain is a dedicated fan and performer of house music since 1998, beginning his DJ journey in 2000. Strain has made appearances on Czech radio stations such as Radio DeeJay and Radio Wave, and ventured into music production. He created a live project called Night Emotions Project, featuring live piano and bongos, blending live instrumentation with house grooves. Known for technical prowess, he has performed innovative sets using 3 to 4 decks, often collaborating with DJs. DJ Strain holds residencies in major Prague clubs and continues to influence the Czech house music scene.
