A New Beer Bar at Manifesto: Czech Beer with a Taste of Summer

A bar with no name, but plenty of character

Beer is back in the spotlight at Manifesto. The new nameless bar brings a bold, rotating showcase of Czech brewing — from iconic lagers to daring sours and easygoing summer ales. Created by the team behind SOOT bar and Berlin’s award-winning Himitsu Speakeasy, this bar serves Czech beer in a modern, stylish, and respectful way. With 11 taps pouring a curated selection of both classics and small-batch Czech brews, the lineup changes monthly — keeping things fresh, just like the beer.

The August tap lineup

Whether you’re into bitterness, juicy aromas, or bright acidity, this August rotation has something for every palate:

Budvar 33 – Czech Lager

This isn’t just a classic lager — it’s a bold interpretation for fans of bitterness. Budvar 33 lives up to its name with 33 bitterness units, thanks to the Czech Agnus hop, one of the most bitter varieties out there. Yet, it balances out with surprising smoothness and a hint of color from Crystal Light malt, usually found in ales. The result is a clean, drinkable lager with bite and finesse.

Double Trouble – Juicy Summer Ale

This fresh summer ale was born from an exciting collaboration between Budvar and Obora breweries. It blends British Marris Otter malt, intensely aromatic American hops (Mosaic & Talus), and traditional Czech decoction brewing. The outcome? A juicy, crisp beer bursting with grapefruit aromas and incredible drinkability. Your ideal plus-one for warm evenings.

Rotating beers from Pivovar Muflon

This small, local brewery from Prague-Kunratice sticks close to home — using regional ingredients like malt from Mšeno, Saaz hops, and soft water from Želivka. Muflon’s philosophy is built on sustainability, freshness, and flavor. The specific beer on tap might change, but expect something authentic, local, and full of soul.

Amore Mio – Single-hop IPA

No blends, no gimmicks — just Amarillo hops, front and center. This IPA proves that simplicity can be delicious. Rather than chasing extreme bitterness, Amore Mio leans into balance, offering light citrus notes and a smooth, easy-drinking body. The name says it all: love at first sip.

Matuška – Summer Ale (APA)

If ever there were a beer made for summer, this is it. Light in color with a stable foam from a touch of wheat malt, Matuška’s Summer Ale delivers aromas of orange and citrus with a crisp finish. A refreshing APA that’s light yet flavorful — and dangerously easy to order again.

Zichovec – Sour Passion Fruit

This bright, tangy sour doesn’t hold back. A mix of lactic fermentation and real passion fruit purée creates an intense hit of acidity and tropical fruit. It’s the first year-round sour from Zichovec — and once you try it, you’ll see why they made it permanent.

Vinohradský Pivovar – Less Sugar More Fun (Brut IPA)

Dry, sparkling, and brimming with fruity complexity. This Brut IPA uses New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops to bring gooseberry and grape notes, with American Simcoe and Cascade adding extra juiciness. Thanks to special enzymes that break down unfermentable sugars, this beer is clean, crisp, and refreshingly dry.

Elektrárna – Yuzu Ale

A Pale Ale with a citrusy twist. Korean-grown yuzu fruit — a 50/50 blend of zest, pulp, and juice with sugar — is added before fermentation, infusing this beer with bright, aromatic citrus flavor. It’s light, slightly bitter, and endlessly drinkable. If you’re looking for something a little different, start here.

Beer & bites: the perfect match

No beer list is complete without proper snacks. Expect Czech classics reimagined for street food: pickled cheese, utopenec (pickled sausage), house-made pâtés, and more — all curated by Alexandros Gavrilidis (SOOT bar).

And because beer is more than just a drink, you can look forward to brewery takeovers, guided tastings, and special food pairing pop-ups.

Stop in for one. Stay for five.

The new beer bar at Manifesto Market Anděl is where Czech brewing heritage meets modern flair. Whether you're a lager loyalist to Pilsner Urquell, IPA adventurer, or just need a cold one after work — you’ll find your place here.

Cheers, and see you at Manifesto!
