Wen's path to the kitchen was not direct, but it was inevitable. Growing up in a family connected to food, she continues to work closely with them, sourcing and importing ingredients directly from China. For her, authenticity goes beyond regional recipes: it is about the full picture of Chinese culture, the language, the landscapes, the people, and the everyday rituals around food.
At Labula Street, that philosophy takes a lighter form: less formal, more playful, but still grounded in a deep respect for flavour, process, and the people who gather around the food.
